The Samsung Clone

The Samsung D600 has got a twin brother. Take a look at the image, it’s the GiNO 888. GiNO 888 resembles Samsung’s D600 beacuse it has been manufactured by the same OEM company. The only difference between them is their brand name.

Gaming phone by Samsung

Samsung introduced the gaming phones, SPH-G1000 and SCH-G100 earlier this year. And now they have launched it in Korea.

Both the phones are CDMA2000 handsets featuring slider design with 2.2″ QVGA display, 1.3 Mega Pixel camera with flash, MPEG-4 video recording, MP3 audio playback and expandable memory. It also features 3d hardware acceleration for gaming, a TV output, 8-directional joypad and wireless gaming support.

The Korean subscribers can get the SPH-G1000 via KTF Wireless and SCH-G100 via SK Telecom.

Half phone, half camcorder: Samsung’s SCH-B750

It looks like a bit of a beast, but at least it rocks a spec sheet to match its intimidating layout. The SCH-B750 (for Samsung’s domestic Korean market, naturally) is being billed as a “camcorder phone” with a swiveling display and 3 megapixel shooter that combine to mimic the way you’d hold a small digital video camera (ring any bells?). Features include QVGA internal and OLED external displays, DMB, TV out, comprehensive media support, and microSD expansion. It’s not as big as it looks, either, coming in at a reasonable 99 x 51 x 16 millimeters. No word on when exactly Koreans will be able to grab this puppy, but one thing’s for certain: it’ll be a lot sooner than we can.

Samsung has announced that they have launched 164 handsets worldwide in the year 2005. This year Samsung had launched the successor (D600) of award winning slider phone, D500. They also reached other milestones by introducing an 8 Mega Pixel phone, SPH-V8200 and a 3 GB music phone, SGH-i300.

Samsung’s SCH-B640 “Ultra Mobile TV”

In multimedia terms, what in tarnation is the F500 Ultra Video lacking? Ooh, that’s right: live television. Enter the SCH-B640 “Ultra Mobile TV,” a device that shares most of the F500’s physical attributes but adds in a little S-DMB action for pulling down the satellite feeds South Koreans so enviably receive. Like the F500, the B640 gets a 2 megapixel cam, a self-supporting swivel stand, and the nifty dual-personality concept with a dedicated phone on one side and multimedia features on the other. Though S-DMB wouldn’t work in these parts, the B640 is a CDMA device — any chance Verizon wants to pick up a MediaFLO version of this to rock the UpStage’s world?

Samsung X100 Review

After the launch of Samsung C100, Samsung comes with another model almost same in features as of in C100. Though it does not support infrared (IrDA) compared to C100 but I think its the best phone in its category. The company has targeted mainly the youths and also suits the adults. Its rival model is Sony Ericsson’s T230 which is also ranged in between 6-7k.

The Samsung X100 comes in the same old traditional colour of Samsung phones i.e. Silver edging with blue cover. The plus point of buying Samsung phones is it comes in 65k colours whereas most of the Nokia colour phones have 4096 colour display. X100 supports GPRS and MMS.

Phonebook can store upto 1000 phone numbers in the phone memory and 5 numbers and an e-mail for each contact. You can also assign a picture for a specific contact. However, you can add pictures which are pre-installed in the phone memory and cannot add pictures from the MMS messages.

Messages are separated from in two sub-categories SMS and MMS. Its SMS storing capacity is upto 200 messages and each MMS message size could not exceed more than 80 kb. In the Indian version people can also SMS in Hindi.

Call Register can save upto 20 missed, 20 received and 20 dialled.

Memory is the plus point of this mid-ranged phone. It has a memory of 9mb which is more than enough and another 600 kb for Java based applications.

Games are included in the Java World menu like Snow Ball Fight and BubbleSmile which can be deleted from the memory. But if you buy from grey market you can get more three games which cant be deleted from the memory.
